Of course you must know that there is
a Hollywood Beach (the California version is in Oxnard). But for vacations to
Hollywood, California, the beaches aren't too far away, making a Hollywood
vacation a multi-faceted experience that includes Hollywood tours and beaches
galore across the way in Santa Monica and Malibu.

Welcome to Hollywood and its glorious
beaches. Hollywood is one of the top vacations in Southern California and most
tourists who come to this famed city like to combine their Hollywood vacations
with beaches. The closest beaches are Santa Monica and Malibu, plus the Venice
and Marina del Rey. You can't actually stay on the beach if you visit Hollywood
and want to stay there for the night. However, in just a mere 25 minute drive
(give or take double that amount based on traffic), you can drive to the beach
for a vacation that's sweet.
Paparazzi routinely find and photograph
celebrities at Malibu, Venice, L.A. and Santa Monica beaches and their downtown
areas. That's because many of the celebs prefer multi-million dollar houses and
mansions on the coast and these beaches west of Hollywood. While we've written
about some unassuming beach
vacations at inland cities, the Hollywood beach vacation is one of the most
recognized and accepted experiences that clearly isn't on a beach of its own,
yet the ever present and tantalizing beaches nearby are a welcomed sight to
tourists who discover just how busy the streets of Hollywood are.
Hollywood loves its nearby beaches and has
made great use of them in filming. The list of beach credits are endless in
movies and film productions. From the Baywatch shows to a list of bikini flicks,
Santa Monica and Malibu beaches are no strangers to the routine of filming. Even
locals are curious about what's going on and can often tell you about the shoots
that occur.
So when you're booking Hollywood and you
want to book the beaches, too, you have two options--stay in L.A. (Hollywood) or
stay at the beach (Santa Monica, Venice). Either way you'll get the beach
vacation you seek with a star-studded line-up of tours, nightlife, ocean
breezes, and the things that make Los Angeles the crazy, fun place that tourists
can't get enough of!
