AQUATIC FACILITIES: POOLS

  

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine operates three swimming pools that offer open swim sessions as well as numerous aquatics classes. During the summer months local high school pools are
added to meet the demand.

 

Belmont Plaza Pool will allow you to get into the swim of things! This beautiful million-gallon indoor pool is located on the beach near Belmont Shore. With a variety of swim classes, water exercise, lifeguard training and a weight room. Limited free parking can be found on the street, with additional parking in the metered lots. 

 

GENERAL INFORMATION
At least four lap lanes are available during all sessions unless otherwise noted. Lockers are available for daily use, but swimmers must bring their own locks. Children must be 48" tall or accompanied by an adult (18 yrs. and older) in the water at all times. Swimsuits required. No refunds. Leave all flotation devices at home. Water is kept at a comfortable 80-82°.

WEIGHT ROOM

The weight room at the Belmont Plaza Pool is just the thing swimmers need to gain that extra edge in the water. With a full set of Universal equipment and a Lifecycle 9500 HR, Shallow Water Exercise. Deep Water Exercise.

 

SWIMMING LESSONS

 

SAFETY SERVICE CLASSES

Learn what to do in the event of an emergency.  Community First Aid and Safety (First Aid, Adult CPR, Infant CPR and Child CPR)  Lifeguard Training. Class, Water Safety Instructor

 

OTHER PROGRAMS

 

Beach Swim Club. Competitive swim training for novice through Olympic hopefuls. Scholarships available. AAF Program at Silverado Park Pool. Conditioning and Jr. Lifeguard (Novice) Programs.

Belmont Plaza Pool will be offering full Athletic Amateur Foundation scholarships for group swim lessons, synchronized swimming and youth water polo. Call the pool at (562) 570-1806 for details.

 

CONFERENCE CENTER

The beautiful Belmont Plaza Conference Center is available for wedding receptions, parties and meetings.

SCUBA Class. Classes offered monthly. Complete certification. Class fee includes books, dive tables, log books, scuba diving equipment and scuba diving equipment.
