About Desert Vacations in California: Prices are
lowest in the summer months in the California
deserts because it's so darned hot. In the top
desert destination, Palm Desert, which includes
Palm  Springs, Indian Wells, Palm
Canyon and Rancho Mirage, summertime is spent
indoors quite a bit. Exercise, walks, golf and
many strenuous activities are performed in the
early hours or after dark. That's why you'll
discover that the desert comes alive at night,
with dining tables lining sidewalks, and outdoor
cafes getting their biggest customer base.
Winter is the
perfect time to visit, though many believe the
months of November through March are optimal.
Spring time in the desert can bring wildflowers
in bloom, and it only takes a tiny bit of rain
to get them blossoming. The desert
contains California's lowest elevation, the
oldest tree in the world, it is believed, record
temperatures, and a naked beauty you will fine
captivating. The desert has long been a vacation
playground for the rich & famous--and it's also
the hideaway of those seeking to live dirt
cheap.
If you like
casinos, cuisine, fine hotels, several hundred
golf courses, rock climbing, budget vacations
and all things in between, by all means don't
miss the desert vacation. It is something
everyone on this planet should experience once,
at minimum.
