overlooks Santa Monica Pier and beach, offering the amenities you expect in a 4
Diamond beach hotel or resort. Restaurants on site, cocktail bars, meeting space
and great patios where guests can sit and socialize, enjoying the fresh beach
air and open skies, minus the wind are a few of the plus points. The spa
services will blow you away, however. The variety of treatments and quality of
service are outstanding.

love this spa. The options are incredible. Within a year, you may have
experienced the many offerings on the menu that also include manicures and
pedicures. If you like being pampered, you better stay at Le Merigot.
Location is still a top
selling point for a stay at this destination resort where the staff is incredibly
nice. There wasn't a negative or unpleasant person we dealt with on a
recent stay. From the moment you drive up to the valet you are greeted in a
friendly, helpful manner. Check-in is equally pleasing and any room requests are
handled with amazing ease.
The hotel lobbies and spaces
contain lots of marble and granite accents with tan treatments. The rooms
contain fine down duvets dressed in Frette linen, nice bathrooms with marble
baths, great soap,
shampoo and decent shower heads. The terrycloth robes and slippers, plus evening
turn-down service are really enjoyable.
Cezanne restaurant serves
breakfast, lunch and dinner with foods artfully prepared in a menu that's a
standout. Sunday brunches are a real treat and recommended for weekend
visits. If you prefer to venture out, a few blocks away is the restaurant where
smooth jazz is served up in live broadcasts from KTWV, 94.7 Wave. i. Cugini,1501

With a room
card key you can workout in the hotel gym, access the door that leads to the
beach, use the swimming pool and get out and walk to most everything. Amusements
and shops are all within a few blocks. The valet will tell you to leave the car
and walk. 3rd Street Promenade, great restaurants and many attractions, fun and
beaches are at your beckoning call when you stay at Le Merigot.

Marriott hotel is a boutique style property that's well insulated for quiet
accommodations so close to the beach and Ocean Avenue. Leave your cares behind
when you stay at this great find.
When we first
entered the travel biz, we used to get calls from tourists wanting to visit
Santa Monica. They would most often ask which hotels were at the beach. From our
studies of maps, there was no way to determine if a hotel would fit a specific
need. Now the picture has become clearer. Great hotels in the several
hundred dollar range include Le Merigot, Loews and Shutters at the Beach.
Less expensive options might include a near neighbor to Le Merigot, Hotel
California.
Budget hotels
surround the boutique hotels but most are not so close to the beach as is Le
Merigot and its oceanside hotel neighbors. We recommend this great hotel for
those who don't have to cut corners. Pay a little extra for amenities, location
and the great lifestyle you enjoy at your very own home. If your philosophy is
to go budget because you won't be in the room much, there are other hotels not
so close to the beach that don't cost as much. But for us, Le Merigot is just
our speed.
