San Diego County is one of
California's most populated counties with a combined population of over 3
million. The largest city is the City of San Diego, with well over 1 million
residents. Chula Vista and Oceanside are the second and third largest cities in
San Diego County.
This entry point for immigrants from Mexico and South America
(San Diego borders Mexico) features a vacation land of warm weather, numerous
beach resorts, manmade islands and beaches, piers, surfing, theme parks and a
love of animals and nature with three theme parks dedicated to wild animal care
and education. San Diego County has grown throughout the decades and though it
experiences the usual commuter traffic and problems, it will continue to
increase in population because of its climate and location.
